Overview
I worked with leadership of Tokyo Electron Limited on their site selection process for their new North American Headquarters, while also managing all public affairs and media relations throughout their first few years in the U.S.
My work ran the gamut:
Produced bilingual neighborhood meetings in local elementary school cafeterias.
Helped create and host two building dedication ceremonies honoring both Japanese and Texas heritages.
Explored appropriate donations to the city and neighborhood and host the ceremonies for those contributions.
Served on the site selection work group for their second U.S. site in Oregon.

Worked closely with Montopolis neighborhood groups to ensure strong relations from the beginning.

What isn't available here is the heavy collaborative work with the Austin American-Statesman on a series about environmental racism in East Austin, where we received kudos from activists and neighbors about TEL's thoughtful work.
